What we look for

Most decks that fail don't fail on the idea. They fail because the story isn't investable yet — the ask doesn't match the plan, the market is asserted rather than evidenced, or the team slide doesn't answer "why you". These are the areas we assess:

  • A problem that is clearly real, and clearly worth solving
  • Evidence of traction — customers, revenue, pipeline, pilots
  • A credible, defensible view of the market and the competition
  • Financials that hang together and stand up to questioning
  • A funding ask with a specific, believable use of funds
  • A team an investor can back — and the gaps you already know about
  • A narrative that holds attention from slide one to the ask
